Minor upgrade tweaks to the site this morning, including an upgrade for the ShareThis plug-in as well as enhancements to the eShop shopping cart. New CSS styles to match the site have not yet been applied for eShop.
All functional upgrades are considered complete and appear to be working at this time. Noticed, is a float [...]

Upgrade to Wordpress 2.6.2, from 2.3.3
September 15th, 2008 · No Comments
The entire site was upgraded this morning from WordPress 2.3.3 to version 2.6.2. The upgrade went seamlessly, and all plug-in upgrades appear to have gone seamlessly as well. The entire process took approximately one half hour to forty-five minutes.
I actually only did a quick back-up of major files, and ran this one by the seat [...]

Where Have I Been?
July 7th, 2008 · No Comments
It’s been a while since I’ve posted — and of course, I’ve come back to a plethora of emails in relation to asking where I’ve been.
I’m no longer working full-time in the Remote Sensing / GIS industry, as of the last month. I’ve taken a position with a multi-media and design studio based, of all [...]

Messing Around With Overlays
September 21st, 2007 · No Comments
Just messing around with overlay comparisons in Google Earth due to performance issues. I also ended-up comparing the noticable difference between custom processed imagery and imagery provided to Google, since I’m in there.

All concept and production notes have been moved to their own post. In this post, I’ll keep an active record of the ongoing progress as it develops. I also now anticipate that this project will be ongoing indefinitely, and as time allows.

Vision-Centric Typography Project
June 8th, 2007 · No Comments
I’ve embarked on another personal project that I’ve wanted to do for several years. The creation of a “vision-centric” pixel typeface family — one that aimed to acheive a priority in both style and scanability at very small sizes. (As a friend commented, “That’s just what we need - another 8pt typeface on the Web.” [...]

My Natural-Color World
May 15th, 2007 · No Comments
I’ve been asked several times, since it became known that I had converted the entire NASA GeoCover 7,4,2 mosaic to natural-color — what I plan to do with this dataset. Some of those inquiries have been interesting. I thought I’d devote a post here to explain my reasoning for producing the dataset by myself, and [...]
