I get this question quite a bit. Conceivably? Yes. How would I go about doing this? Sticking to standards, and not using others’ proprietary methods. Why? Umm, standards exist because everyone can adopt them into their flavor of application — which is to say, that it may not be the best thing on the block, […]

The directors for Radiohead’s latest video, House of Cards, used LiDAR to great creative effect. It’s always nice to see someone using such a technology for creative purposes. That’s just my opinion, however. This also has to do with my belief in there being more of a balance in society understanding these technologies more by […]

It’s been a while since I’ve posted — and of course, I’ve come back to a plethora of emails in relation to asking where I’ve been.
I’m no longer working full-time in the Remote Sensing / GIS industry, as of the last month. I’ve taken a position with a multi-media and design studio based, of all […]

My friend Eric over on MySpace bulletined this to point it out. My brain just about cracked in half and popped all over my desk.

So that was interesting. I’m sitting here, drinking my morning coffee — catching up on news, messages, and whatnots — and in comes an update from Microsoft. But, once the update was done downloading — the shield icon disappeared without notifying me whether or not I wished to update.
So what’s up, Microsoft? I looked through […]

All you need is a Google Maps API key for your WordPress site and WordPress version 2.5.1 or higher. (Their site does not appear to view in IE […]

That just kind of says it all about what’s been happening, doesn’t it? I’ve been watching this progressively change since the play against Yahoo! and the recent visa request in Congress — and sure enough, there it is. The trend does not lie.

Google Maps Quicktag has been updated only by version number to reflect its compatibility with WordPress version 2.5. While no upgrade is necessary, the automated upgrade system with the repository at WordPress.org caused some to think that it was not compatible.

I scrapped the idea of redesigning the site for now, in favor of waiting for the final release of WordPress version 2.5. I have a development install of WordPress on another server to work-out the design there — when everything’s ready, I’ll simply transition the template over to do a seamless, instant upgrade.

Envisat Makes First Ever Observation of Regionally Elevated CO2 From Man-made Emissions — ESA, European Space Agency
http://www.esa.int/esaEO/SEMZHVM5NDF_planet_0.html
This is a very important discovery in observation, because it points-out the factual correlation between human-settled land-mass areas (primarily urban environments, and rural industry environments) and the location of CO2 emissions relative to human settlement and industry.
In other […]
