The Digital Rho system is an 11′ 48″ wide press — which assists in countering seams on large format hanger mosaics.
If you’re into other alternative tangible medias, Lenticular is an interesting option as well. It lends itself to a range of possibilities — such as 2D to 3D pseudo representations, or animations. One of the best companies I’ve seen in this area is Outer Aspect — with offices around the world:
